Clever Covers

FAQ’s - Wheelie Bin Covers

About the Enclosure

No, aluminium by its nature does not rust.

Our enclosures are very sturdy since the doors, side walls and lid are all fully welded. Some manufacturers use screws or rivets to assemble their panels which is not as strong.

The enclosure is designed to prevent the worst of the weather getting in with zero gap slat lids which overhang the side walls and front doors. While our covers are not watertight they severely limit the amount of rainwater that could get in.

Measuring

Try to allow enough space so that the weekly removal of the bins is easy. Our covers offer plenty of room above your bins so that the lids can open slightly when the bins are very full.

Installing

We’re confident that our wheelie bin covers are the easiest and quickest to install.

Our clever design ensures that as much of the work as possible has already been done for you, for example there are no slats to install as the panels arrive pre-welded.

Our installation guide is simple to follow with plenty of diagrams and we are available to answer your questions.

Allow a couple of hours for the installation.

Just a cordless drill with a Phillips bit, 5/8 tek screw bit & a 6mm masonry drill bit, spirit level (or a spirit level phone app!) and protective glasses & N95 mask when drilling into concrete.

Only the front two posts need to be secured to your concrete slab or tiles. We supply masonry screws for this purpose since they are 100% removable, unlike concrete anchors.

The rear posts & beam are either attached to a wall using wall plugs & screws, to a timber fence using timber screws, or to a metal fence using tek screws. All fixing options are supplied so no trips to Bunnings required!

We don’t offer an installation service but a local handyman would be able to help you out if you don’t want to do the installation yourself.

Shipping

There’s no need to wait for your cover to be built. Our covers are all in stock and ready to be shipped. Your cover will typically be delivered in just 1-2 weeks.

Shipping is just $150 to most suburbs. Please enter your postcode at checkout to confirm the rate. If you fall outside of our standard delivery area please contact us for a shipping quote.

Yes we do, whatever the reason. If you don’t like the colour, make a measuring mistake or simply change your mind, you just need to pay the courier fee and ensure that the cover is returned undamaged. This takes the stress out of ordering.

When looking at competitors, bear in mind that most build their covers to order and do not accept returns.
